Applied learning plan

SEF has set a goal to ensure high school students have the opportunity to access internships, summer jobs, co-ops, and project-based applied learning opportunities.

Definition: Applied learning refers to an educational approach where students learn by engaging in direct application of skills, theories, and models in the real world. Examples of applied learning include:

1. Jobs: paid work 
2. Summer Jobs: >6wks, >20 hrs/wk
3. Internships: unpaid work 
   
4. Apprenticeships: work-based learning
